Musings
I’ve been invariably re-educated on the concept of love, devise right? This topic continually plagues the collective consciousness, with a myriad of takes on what it entails and in what form it’s supposed to be received and given.
In my recent exploration, I encountered an idea that changed in many ways, the way I think of it. Well, the writer of this book opines that as opposed to the general perception, we are the source of love, he goes on to say that we [the source of love] project it onto another person and in such moments, come to think [that they] are the reason we feel love [loved].
He states that, we, being the source of love should disabuse ourselves of the notion that we need an occasionally aesthetically appealing other person to feel love. He says, with a little self awareness and work, we can come to a place of love [self-love] which is an idea I’m still trying to contend with.
As a willing disciple of the principles this writer espouses in his profoundly enlightening book, I’ve come to accept this radical idea, that I, can be the primary source of love, as divisive as this may sound, it’s a tested and proven concept,(at-least for me!!) and is a source of tremendous inner-peace and equanimity.
