Netflix's Queen Sono is an antithesis to the evidently mundane African cinematic experience, it's packed with a host of pristinely qualified actors whose performance really hits home, it's exclusively African cast is a cinematically thrilling tour-de-force.

It aptly contextualizes the momentarily foreign world of state-sanctioned espionage and it's allure quite synonymous with the invariably clandestine MI-6, without the exception of it's dashingly dressed super-agent Queen Sono portrayed by South Africa's Pearl Thusi.

The Afrocentrism espoused by the series strikingly resonates with any African. I can't help but affirm my profound pride in the strides being taken to expedite the growth of our burgeoning African movie industry.
